2013 - June
After wandering a few days
on Unity 3D, I concluded that it would be really less time consuming to
use it instead of YNA with MonoGame. Unity makes it possible to export
to the same plateforms I was aiming for and provide extended tools.
Plus, the Unity community is really active, procuding powerfull assets
packs. Restart from scratch on Unity.
2013 - January
The actual game is shown during a
conference about hobby gamedev
taking place in Lyon (France). At this point, the core gameplay is
nearly done. Structures can be built in the colony vision and natural
resource management is functional.
2012 - September
One year after the initial
idea, the prototype is done and the gameplay is now clear enough to
start for real. Technologies chosen are XNA 4.0 with the
YNA engine. XNA will be used until
MonoGame implements an advanded enough Content Pipeline.
2011 - September
The story begins here with an idea : create a 4X game taking place in space. The main goal was to create a 4X game without direct combat. Only sabotage, silent murders and such other things. Aim on diplomacy and fiddling instead of direct war.
